After advancing directly to the championship game, James Grattan (Oromocto, NB) lost 10-3 to Terry Odishaw (Moncton, NB) in the Final of the Molson Canadian Tankard, held February 1 - 5, 2012 in Saint John, New Brunswick.
 
Grattan finished 6-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Grattan defeated Gary Sullivan (Carleton, NB) 8-3, then won 7-4 against Zack Eldridge (Cambellton, NB). Grattan went on to lose 5-4 against Jeremy Mallais (Saint John, NB). Grattan responded with a 5-4 win over Marc LeCocq (Nackawic, NB). Grattan won 10-7 against Paul Dobson (Saint John, NB), then won 9-3 against Jason Vaughan (Saint John, NB) and 7-3 against Odishaw in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Molson Canadian Tankard, Grattan take home 2.500 world rankings points. For week 25 of the event schedule, Grattan did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Grattan ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
