Brett Gallant (Charlottetown, PEI) lost 7-5 to Mike Gaudet (Charlottetown, PEI) in the Final of the PEI Labatt Tankard, held January 26 - 30, 2012 in Cornwall, Prince Edward Island.

Gallant finished 4-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gallant defeated John Likely (Charlottetown, PEI) 7-6, then went on to lose 5-3 against Robert Campbell (Charlottetown, PEI). Gallant responded with a 6-4 win over Jamie Newson (Charlottetown, PEI). Gallant won 5-4 against Bill Hope (Charlottetown, PEI). Gallant went on to lose 6-4 against Gaudet. Gallant responded with a 8-6 win over Newson in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the PEI Labatt Tankard, Gallant take home 2.500 world rankings points. For week 24 of the event schedule, Gallant did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Gallant ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
