Mike Gaudet (Charlottetown, PEI) won 7-5 over Brett Gallant (Charlottetown, PEI) in the Final of the PEI Labatt Tankard, held January 26 - 30, 2012 in Cornwall, Prince Edward Island. 
 
Gaudet finished 4-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gaudet lost 9-3 to Donald Clarey (Montague, PEI), then responded with a 7-2 win over Blair Jay (Summerside, PEI). Gaudet won 6-5 against John Likely (Charlottetown, PEI), then won 6-5 against Robert Campbell (Charlottetown, PEI) and 6-4 against Gallant in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the PEI Labatt Tankard Championship title, Gaudet earned 4.000 world rankings points. For week 24 of the event schedule, Gaudet did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Gaudet ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
