Koe won 8-2 against Mike Gaudet (Charlottetown, PEI), then won 6-3 against Scott Manners (Battleford, SK) and 8-1 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL). Koe went on to lose 7-6 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste. Marie, NONT). Koe responded with a 11-3 win over Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, Y/NWT). Koe went on to lose 8-5 against Rob Fowler (Brandon, MB). Koe responded with a 8-3 win over Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS). Koe went on to lose 6-3 against Howard in their final qualifying round match.
