Brewster finished 8-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brewster defeated Peter De Boer (Naseby, NZL) 5-3, then won 11-6 against Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR). Brewster went on to lose 9-7 against Rasmus Stjerne (Hvidore, DEN). Brewster responded with a 8-3 win over Johnny Jahr (Fuessen, GER). Brewster won 7-4 against Jan Hauser (GC R+B, SUI). Brewster went on to lose 5-3 against Thomas Dufour (Chamonix, FRA). Brewster responded with a 7-6 win over Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN). Brewster won 7-4 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE). Brewster went on to lose 7-5 against Howard. Brewster responded with a 9-6 win over Jiri Snitil (Brno, CZE). Brewster won 8-6 against Heath McCormick (New York, USA) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the World Men's Curling Championship, Brewster take home 35.000 world rankings points. Brewster move up 4 spots after posting a net gain of 31.865 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 11th overall with 180.300 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Brewster ranks 10th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 113.410 points earned so far this season.
