Strong lost 10-7 to Michelle Englot (Regina, SK) where Strong responded with a 8-3 win over Kerry Galusha (Yellowknife, Y/NWT). Strong went on to lose 8-5 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB). Strong responded with a 8-4 win over Kim Dolan (Charlottetown, PEI). Strong went on to lose 11-7 against Kelly Scott (Kelowna, BC). Strong lost 7-4 to Tracy Horgan (Sudbury, ON) where Strong responded with a 9-4 win over Rebecca Atkinson (Oromocto, NB). Strong went on to lose 10-3 against Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB). Strong responded with a 10-5 win over Heather Smith-Dacey (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.

Strong earned 8.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 24 spots the World Ranking Standings into 74th place overall with 19.250 total points. Strong ranks 64th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 12.250 points earned so far this season.
