Ott went on to lose 6-5 against Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, CAN). Ott lost 7-4 to Sweden's Margaretha Sigfridsson where Ott responded with a 7-4 win over Melanie Robillard (Fuessen, GER). Ott won 5-4 against Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO), then won 9-5 against Linda Klimova (Prague, CZE) and 8-4 against Italy's Diana Gaspari. Ott went on to lose 7-4 against Lene Nielsen (Taarnby, DEN). Ott responded with a 6-5 win over Korea's Ji-Sun Kim. Ott won 6-4 against Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.
