Sweden's Rasmus Wrana lost 10-4 to Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, CAN) in the Final of the World Junior Curling Championships, held March 3 - 11, 2012 in Oestersund, Sweden.
 
Sweden's Rasmus Wrana finished 7-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sweden's Rasmus Wrana defeated Norway's Markus Snove Hoiberg 9-2, then won 8-5 against Czech Republic's Lukas Klima and 4-3 against Scotland's Kyle Smith. Sweden's Rasmus Wrana won 8-4 against China's Xiuyue Ma. Sweden's Rasmus Wrana went on to lose 7-4 against Switzerland's Dominik Maerki. Sweden's Rasmus Wrana lost 5-2 to Bottcher where Sweden's Rasmus Wrana responded with a 8-4 win over Finland's Iiro Sipola. Sweden's Rasmus Wrana won 8-4 against Stephen Dropkin (Wayland, USA), then won 11-3 against Italy's Andrea Pilzer in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the World Junior Curling Championships, Sweden's Rasmus Wrana take home 5.000 world rankings points.
