Scotland's Hannah Fleming won 6-5 over Czech Republic's Zuzana Hajkova in the Final of the World Junior Curling Championships, held March 3 - 11, 2012 in Oestersund, Sweden.
 
Scotland's Hannah Fleming finished 7-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Scotland's Hannah Fleming defeated Norway's Kristine Davanger 9-3, then went on to lose 7-5 against Jocelyn Peterman (Red Deer, CAN). Scotland's Hannah Fleming responded with a 8-7 win over Sweden's Sara McManus. Scotland's Hannah Fleming won 8-7 against United States's Cory Christensen, then won 8-3 against Czech Republic's Zuzana Hajkova and 7-5 against Japan's Sayaka Yoshimura. Scotland's Hannah Fleming won 5-4 against Italy's Federica Apollonio. Scotland's Hannah Fleming went on to lose 7-5 against Switzerland's Melanie Barbezat. Scotland's Hannah Fleming responded with a 8-7 win over Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the World Junior Curling Championships Championship title, Scotland's Hannah Fleming earned 8.000 world rankings points, moving up 46 spots the World Ranking Standings into 94th place overall with 13.220 total points. Scotland's Hannah Fleming ranks 70th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 10.160 points earned so far this season.
