5-4 to Nobuaki Mutoh (Kariuzawa, JPN), droppimg another game, 7-6 to Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN). Boutin lost 10-3 to Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) where Boutin responded with a 7-6 win over Norway's Thomas Lovold. Boutin went on to lose 10-3 against Chang-Min Kim (Uiseong Gyeongbuk, KOR). Boutin responded with a 9-3 win over Yuta Matsumura (Nagano, JPN). Boutin went on to lose 8-1 against Colin Thomas (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.
