Boutin responded with a 9-3 win over Yuta Matsumura (Nagano, JPN). Boutin went on to lose 8-1 against Colin Thomas (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.

Boutin earned 1.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 24 of the event schedule, Boutin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Boutin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
