Rasmus Stjerne (Hvidovre, DEN) qualified for the 2012 German Masters playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 9-6 against Norway's Steffen R. Mellemseter. of the 2012 German Masters in Hamburg, Germany;

Stjerne finished 1-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stjerne lost 5-4 to Switzerland's Christian Bangerter, then responded with a 7-2 win over Germany's Johnny Jahr in their final qualifying round match.
