Bottcher won 7-3 against Steinke, then won 5-3 against Shane Parcels (Edmonton, AB) and 5-4 against Dylan Webster (Sundre, AB). Bottcher won 7-5 against Brett Vavrek (Sexsmith, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
