Muirhead finished 6-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Muirhead defeated Jennifer Martin (Killmarnock, SCO) 11-6, then won 7-4 against Hannah Fleming (Perth, SCO) and 9-3 against Kerry Barr (Perth, SCO). Muirhead went on to lose 5-4 against Lockhart. Muirhead responded with a 6-5 win over Gina Aitken (Edinburgh, SCO). Muirhead went on to lose 7-5 against Sarah Reid (Glasgow, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
