Sweeting lost 7-4 to Jill Thurston (Winnipeg, MB). Sweeting lost 11-4 to Shelley Nichols (St. John's, NL) where Sweeting responded with a 9-7 win over Sharon Cormier (Yellowknife, Y/NWT). Sweeting went on to lose 9-3 against Andrea Kelly (Fredericton, NB). Sweeting lost 7-6 to Amber Holland (Kronau, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
