Stoughton won 6-5 against Kevin Koe (Edmonton, AB). Stoughton went on to lose 8-4 against Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB). Stoughton responded with a 8-4 win over Jason Gunnlaugson (Beausejour, MB). Stoughton won 7-6 against Wayne Middaugh (Islington, ON), then won 8-7 against Pat Simmons (Davidson, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
