Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) qualified for the 2012 Westcoast Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-4 against Brent Pierce (New Westminster, BC). of the 2012 Westcoast Curling Classic in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada;

Bottcher finished 4-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bottcher lost 8-2 to David Nedohin (Edmonton, AB), then responded with a 7-3 win over Sean Geall (New Westminster, BC). Bottcher won 7-2 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB), then won 8-3 against Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) and 7-4 against Jay Wakefield (New Westminster, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

Bottcher earned 8.125 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Westcoast Curling Classic, moving up 13 spots the World Ranking Standings into 41st place overall with 30.580 total points.
