Rob Fowler (Brandon, MB) qualified for the 2012 Cactus Pheasant Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-2 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). of the 2012 Cactus Pheasant Classic in Brooks, Alberta;

Fowler finished 3-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fowler defeated Steve Petryk (Calgary, AB) 5-4, then won 6-5 against Sweden's Niklas Edin. Fowler went on to lose 6-1 against Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB). Fowler responded with a 8-2 win over Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Fowler earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Cactus Pheasant Classic, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 11th place overall with 132.395 total points. Fowler ranks 32nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 20.000 points earned so far this season.
