Jim Cotter (Kelowna/Vernon, BC) finished 3-3 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cotter defeated British Columbia's Brent Pierce 6-1, then went on to lose 6-5 against Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB). Cotter responded with a 7-6 win over Scott Egger (Brooks, AB). Cotter went on to lose 6-4 against Sweden's Niklas Edin. Cotter responded with a 5-4 win over Steve Petryk (Calgary, AB). Cotter went on to lose 8-4 against Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

. For week 11 of the event schedule, Cotter did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 18th place on the World Ranking Standings with 79.984 total points. Cotter ranks 36th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 16.475 points earned so far this season.
