Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) won 9-4 over Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Canad Inns Prairie Classic, held October 19 - 22, 2012 at the Portage Curling Club in Portage La Prairie, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Koe won 5-3 over Jeff Stoughton (winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2012 Canad Inns Prairie Classic in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada; and won 5-4 over Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2012 Canad Inns Prairie Classic in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada;
 
Koe finished 5-2 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe defeated Scott Ramsay (Winnipeg, MB) 7-1, then went on to lose 7-5 against Rob Fowler (Brandon, MB). Koe responded with a 9-6 win over Dave Elias (Winnipeg, MB). Koe won 5-3 against Heath McCormick (New York, NY). Koe went on to lose 6-5 against Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON). Koe responded with a 8-2 win over Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN). Koe won 5-3 against Mark Kean (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Canad Inns Prairie Classic Championship title, Koe earned 40.000 world rankings points along with the $18,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 4th place overall with 254.015 total points. Koe ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 95.055 points earned so far this season.
