Fenson finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fenson defeated Guy Hemmings (Montreal, PQ) 8-3, then won 6-2 against Matt Paul (Ottawa, ON) and 9-4 against Jean-Michel Menard (Quebec, PQ). Fenson went on to lose 4-2 against John Epping (Toronto, ON). Fenson responded with a 6-2 win over Robert Desjardins (Chicoutimi, PQ) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Fenson earned 14.010 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic, moving up 18 spots the World Ranking Standings into 34th place overall with 32.135 total points. Fenson ranks 8th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 14.010 points earned so far this season.
