Cotter won 7-4 against Mark Kean (Toronto, ON), then won 6-5 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) and 7-5 against Peter De Cruz (Geneve, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the ROGERS Masters of Curling, Cotter take home 27.000 world rankings points along with the $11,000CDN prize, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 15th place overall with 121.159 total points. Cotter ranks 12th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 57.650 points earned so far this season.
