To advance to the championship game, Ontario's Greg Balsdon won 5-2 over Ontario's Jake Higgs in the semifinals of the 2012 KW Fall Classic in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario; and won 4-3 over Ontario's Rob Rumfeldt in the quarterfinals.

In their opening game, Ontario's Greg Balsdon defeated Wes Johnson (Toronto, ON) 6-5, then went on to lose 6-5 against Cory Heggestad (Orillia, ON). Ontario's Greg Balsdon responded with a 9-3 win over Ontario's Scott McDonald. Ontario's Greg Balsdon went on to lose 7-2 against Ontario's Jake Higgs. Ontario's Greg Balsdon responded with a 8-1 win over Mike Bryson (Kingston, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
