To advance to the championship game, Abbis-Mills won 6-4 over Brad Hertner (Brantford, ON) in the semifinals of the 2012 Chatham Granite Cash Spiel in Chatham, Ontario, Canada;
 
Abbis-Mills finished 3-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Abbis-Mills defeated Rick Law (Kingsville, ON) 9-5, then won 7-2 against Josh Johnston (Toronto, ON) and 6-3 against Bob Ingram (Ridgetown, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Chatham Granite Cash Spiel Championship title, Abbis-Mills earned 2.500 world rankings points along with the $2,150CDN first prize cheque, moving up 9 spots the World Ranking Standings into 102nd place overall with 13.207 total points. Abbis-Mills ranks 103rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.000 points earned so far this season.
