Mark Johnson (Seattle, WA) won 4-3 over Jamie King (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Wainwright Roaming Buffalo Classic, held November 16 - 19, 2012 in Wainwright, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Johnson won 7-2 over Charley Thomas (Calgary, AB) in the semifinals of the 2012 Wainwright Roaming Buffalo Classic in Wainwright, Alberta; and won 5-2 over Jason Jacobson (Saskatoon, SK) in the quarterfinals.
 
Johnson finished 3-0 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Johnson defeated Murray Westman (Wainwright, AB) 4-1, then won 9-1 against Matthew Blandford (Calgary, AB) and 5-4 against Thomas Scoffin (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Wainwright Roaming Buffalo Classic Championship title, Johnson earned 12.750 world rankings points along with the $12,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 261 spots the World Ranking Standings into 100th place overall with 12.938 total points. Johnson ranks 59th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 12.750 points earned so far this season.
