Brent Pierce (New Westminster, BC) qualified for the 2012 Wainwright Roaming Buffalo Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-4 against Charley Thomas (Calgary, AB). of the 2012 Wainwright Roaming Buffalo Classic in Wainwright, Alberta;

Pierce finished 4-1 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pierce lost 6-4 to Dean Davidson (Wainwright, AB), then responded with a 8-2 win over Jason Jacobson (Saskatoon, SK). Pierce won 7-4 against Tom Appelman (Edmonton, AB), then won 7-2 against Warren Cross (Edmonton, AB) and 5-4 against Josh Heidt (Kerrobert, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Pierce earned 3.825 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Wainwright Roaming Buffalo Classic, remaining in 23rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 77.795 total points. Pierce ranks 21st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 39.535 points earned so far this season.
