Fournier advanced through the quarterfinals with a 5-4 win over Don Bowser (Ottawa, ON). of the 2012 Mac Ice Classic in Ottawa, Ontario;
 
Fournier finished 4-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fournier defeated Mike Bryson (Toronto, ON) 7-0, then won 7-3 against Trevor Bonot (Thunder Bay, ON). Fournier went on to lose 6-3 against Jean-Michel Menard (Quebec, PQ). Fournier responded with a 5-1 win over Matt Dumontelle (Sudbury, NONT). Fournier won 7-6 against Philippe Lemay (Trois-Rivieres, PQ) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Fournier earned 2.775 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Mac Ice Classic, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 96th place overall with 11.158 total points. Fournier ranks 78th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.775 points earned so far this season.
