Shuster finished 3-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Shuster defeated Ethan Meyers (Duluth, MN) 7-2, then went on to lose 6-2 against Ontario's Bryan Burgess. Shuster responded with a 8-5 win over Jeff Puleo (Forest Lake, MN). Shuster won 7-2 against Chris Dolan (St. Paul, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Coors Light Cash Spiel, Shuster take home 4.025 world rankings points along with the $2,979CDN prize, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 46th place overall with 35.975 total points.
