Amy Wright (Duluth, MN) run at the 2012 Molson Cash Spiel came to an end in the semifinals with a 6-4 loss to Ontario's Krista McCarville.

Wright finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wright defeated Sarah Anderson (Philadelphia, PA) 6-2, then went on to lose 5-3 against Ontario's Marlo Dahl. Wright responded with a 7-2 win over Brigid Ellig (St. Paul, MN). Wright won 7-1 against Miranda Solem (Cohasset, MN), then won 6-4 against Liane Fossum (Thunder Bay, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
