Jeff Stoughton (winnipeg, MB) won 4-3 over Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON) in the Final Stoughton advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the Capital One Canada Cup of Curling, held November 28 - December 2, 2012 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

Stoughton finished 5-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stoughton defeated Howard 9-5, then won 7-5 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) and 10-4 against Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB). Stoughton won 9-5 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL). Stoughton went on to lose 8-7 against John Epping (Toronto, ON). Stoughton responded with a 7-5 win over Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Capital One Canada Cup of Curling Championship title, Stoughton earned 45.000 world rankings points along with the $24,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 5th place overall with 302.562 total points.
