Denis Laflamme (Sept-Iles, PQ) qualified for the 2012 Vic Open playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-1 against Philippe Lemay (Trois-Rivieres, PQ). of the 2012 Vic Open in Quebec, Quebec, Canada;

Laflamme finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Laflamme lost 9-4 to Simon Dupuis (Buckingham, PQ), then responded with a 4-3 win over Robert Desjardins (Chicoutimi, PQ). Laflamme won 10-4 against Pierre-Luc Morissette (Quebec, PQ) in their final qualifying round match.

The berth into the first round of the Vic Open playoffs earned Laflamme 1.125 world rankings points, moving up 81 spots the World Ranking Standings into 278th place overall with 1.575 total points. Laflamme ranks 201st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.575 points earned so far this season.
