Sean Geall (New Westminster, BC) lost 8-2 to Brent Pierce (New Westminster, BC) in the Final of the Cloverdale Cash Spiel, held September 14 - 16, 2012 in Surrey, British Columbia. To advance to the championship game, Geall won 5-3 over Jay Wakefield (New Westminster, BC) in the semifinals of the 2012 Cloverdale Cash Spiel in Surrey, British Columbia; and won 6-1 over Leon Romaniuk (Seattle, WA) in the quarterfinals. of the 2012 Cloverdale Cash Spiel in Surrey, British Columbia;

Geall finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Geall defeated Brady Clark (Seattle, WA) 7-2, then won 4-1 against Randie Shen (Taipei, TPE) and 5-2 against British Columbia's Jody Epp. Geall went on to lose 7-4 against British Columbia's Mel Steffin in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Cloverdale Cash Spiel, Geall take home 2.250 world rankings points along with the $1,650CDN prize, moving up 145 spots the World Ranking Standings into 195th place overall with 2.331 total points. Geall ranks 41st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.250 points earned so far this season.
