Geall finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Geall defeated Brady Clark (Seattle, WA) 7-2, then won 4-1 against Randie Shen (Taipei, TPE) and 5-2 against British Columbia's Jody Epp. Geall went on to lose 7-4 against British Columbia's Mel Steffin in their final qualifying round match.
