Brent Pierce (New Westminster, BC) won 7-6 over Jamie King (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Valley First Crown of Curling, held October 19 - 22, 2012 at the Kamloops Curling Club in Kamloops, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Pierce won 7-3 over Scott DeCap (Kamloops, BC) in the semifinals of the 2012 Valley First Crown of Curling in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada; and won 6-5 over British Columbia's Trevor Perepolkin in the quarterfinals.
Pierce finished 2-0 in the 22-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pierce defeated Ken Watson (Surrey, BC) 7-1, then won 7-3 against Steve Waatainen (Nanaimo, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Valley First Crown of Curling Championship title, Pierce earned 5.500 world rankings points along with the $7,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 25th place overall with 58.970 total points. Pierce ranks 21st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 20.710 points earned so far this season.
