Wang finished 4-1 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wang lost 7-4 to Diane Foster (Calgary, AB), then responded with a 8-7 win over Brett Barber (Biggar, SK). Wang won 7-1 against Eberle, then won 7-5 against Tiffany Game (Edmonton, AB) and 7-2 against Lindsay Makichuk (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Wang earned 3.375 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the MNP Charity Classic, remaining in 20th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 68.200 total points. Wang ranks 41st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.875 points earned so far this season.
