Marla Mallett (Cloverdale, BC) run at the 2012 Vancouver Island Shootout came to an end in the semifinals with a 7-2 loss to Heather Jensen (Airdrie, AB). of the 2012 Vancouver Island Shootout in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada;

Mallett finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mallett defeated Lynne Noble (Victoria, BC) 8-6, then won 6-2 against Brandi Tinkler (Victoria, BC) and 8-2 against Adina Tasaka (New Westminster, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
