To advance to the championship game, Jahr won 6-3 over Grant Hardie (Dumfries, SCO) in the semifinals of the 2012 Edinburgh International in Edinburgh, Scotland, Scotland; and won 6-5 over Graeme Black (Perth, SCO) in the quarterfinals. of the 2012 Edinburgh International in Edinburgh, Scotland, Scotland;
 
Jahr finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jahr defeated Warwick Smith (Perth, SCO) 7-6, then won 8-3 against Hammy McMillan (Stranraer, SCO) and 8-3 against David Sik (Praha, CZE). Jahr went on to lose 7-5 against Glen Muirhead (Perth, SCO). Jahr responded with a 6-5 win over Italy's Fabio Sola in their final qualifying round match.
