Kim finished 3-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated Chana Martineau (Edmonton, AB) 5-4, then won 5-4 against Tiffany Steuber (Edmonton, AB) and 5-3 against Lindsay Makichuk (Edmonton, AB). Kim went on to lose 8-2 against Kelsey Rocque (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Shamrock Shotgun, Kim take home 1.925 world rankings points along with the $1,600CDN prize, moving up 20 spots the World Ranking Standings into 125th place overall with 3.354 total points. Kim ranks 56th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.925 points earned so far this season.
