Danny Sherrard (Edmonton, AB) won 8-4 over Thomas Scoffin (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Shamrock Shotgun, held October 5 - 7, 2012 in Edmonton, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Sherrard won 6-4 over Rick McKague (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2012 Shamrock Shotgun in Edmonton, Alberta; and won 7-3 over Shawn Donnelly (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2012 Shamrock Shotgun in Edmonton, Alberta;

Sherrard finished 3-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sherrard defeated Scoffin 7-6, then went on to lose 6-1 against Wade White (Edmonton, AB). Sherrard responded with a 5-3 win over Greg Keith (Spruce Grove, AB). Sherrard won 7-1 against Ontario's Doug Brewer in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Shamrock Shotgun Championship title, Sherrard earned 3.500 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 54 spots the World Ranking Standings into 130th place overall with 6.584 total points. Sherrard ranks 69th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.500 points earned so far this season.
