Peter De Cruz (Geneve, SUI) won 6-5 over Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste. Marie, ON) in the Final of the Challenge Casino de Charlevoix, held November 22 - 25, 2012 in Clermont, Quebec. To advance to the championship game, De Cruz won 7-3 over Jean-Michel Menard (Quebec, QC) in the semifinals of the 2012 Challenge Casino de Charlevoix in Clermont, Quebec; and won 6-2 over Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2012 Challenge Casino de Charlevoix in Clermont, Quebec;
 
De Cruz finished 3-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, De Cruz defeated Marc LeCocq (Nackawic, NB) 9-7, then went on to lose 8-3 against Menard. De Cruz lost 8-4 to Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) where De Cruz responded with a 6-0 win over Philippe Lemay (Trois-Rivieres, QC). De Cruz won 6-3 against Sven Michel (Adelboden, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Challenge Casino de Charlevoix Championship title, De Cruz earned 19.800 world rankings points along with the $12,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 18th place overall with 104.047 total points. De Cruz ranks 14th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 57.655 points earned so far this season.
