Tyler George (Duluth, MN) qualified for the 2012 Madison Cash Spiel playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-4 against Craig Brown (Madison, WI).

George finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, George defeated Chris Dolan (St. Paul, MN) 6-1, then won 6-4 against Geoff Goodland (Eau Claire, WI). George went on to lose 7-1 against John Shuster (Duluth, MN). George responded with a 8-5 win over Todd Birr (Mankato, MN) in their final qualifying round match.

George earned 1.725 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Madison Cash Spiel, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 42nd place overall with 40.687 total points. George ranks 55th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 14.250 points earned so far this season.
