To advance to the championship game, Bitz won 5-3 over David Kraichy (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2012 Dauphin Clinic Pharmacy Classic in Dauphin, Manitoba, Canada; and won 8-7 over Kyle Foster (Arborg, MB) in the quarterfinals.
 
Bitz finished 4-0 in the 29-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bitz defeated Sam Good (Winnipeg, MB) 7-1, then won 7-4 against Brent Gedak (Estevan, SK) and 8-1 against Dave Elias (Winnipeg, MB). Bitz won 6-4 against Jared Kolomaya (Stonewall, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Dauphin Clinic Pharmacy Classic, Bitz take home 1.925 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN prize, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 45th place overall with 34.990 total points.
