Ott finished 4-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ott defeated Valerie Sweeting (Edmonton, AB) 5-2, then won 4-3 against Stefanie Lawton (Saskatoon, SK) and 7-2 against Amber Holland (Regina, SK). Ott won 5-4 against Delia DeJong (Sexsmith, AB). Ott went on to lose 6-5 against Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Pomeroy Inn & Suites Prairie Showdown Championship title, Ott earned 40.000 world rankings points along with the $10,800CDN first prize cheque. Ott move up 3 spots after posting a net gain of 34 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 5th overall with 250.055 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
