Stoughton won 9-2 against Eddie MacKenzie (Charlottetown, PEI), then won 7-6 against Brock Virtue (Regina, SK) and 9-5 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL). Stoughton won 6-5 against James Grattan (Oromocto, NB). Stoughton went on to lose 9-4 against Jacobs. Stoughton lost 7-5 to Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT) where Stoughton responded with a 6-5 win over Andrew Bilesky (New Westminster, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
