Grattan won 6-5 against Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB), then won 8-6 against Eddie MacKenzie (Charlottetown, PEI). Grattan went on to lose 7-3 against Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON). Grattan lost 6-5 to Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB) where Grattan responded with a 8-4 win over Andrew Bilesky (New Westminster, BC). Grattan went on to lose 7-4 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
