Gushue won 7-3 against Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT). Gushue went on to lose 9-5 against Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB). Gushue lost 6-5 to Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON). Gushue lost 6-5 to Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB) where Gushue responded with a 5-4 win over Jean-Michel Menard (St. Romuald, PQ) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Gushue earned 20.000 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the Tim Hortons Brier.
