Jacobs finished 8-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobs defeated Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT) 11-6, then won 9-3 against Andrew Bilesky (New Westminster, BC) and 10-4 against Eddie MacKenzie (Charlottetown, PEI). Jacobs won 8-1 against Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB). Jacobs went on to lose 9-8 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL). Jacobs lost 8-2 to Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON) where Jacobs responded with a 6-4 win over Jean-Michel Menard (St. Romuald, PQ). Jacobs went on to lose 7-6 against Brock Virtue (Regina, SK). Jacobs responded with a 9-4 win over Stoughton. Jacobs won 7-4 against James Grattan (Oromocto, NB), then won 5-2 against Paul Flemming (Lower Sackville, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Tim Hortons Brier Championship title, Jacobs earned 45.000 world rankings points. For week 30 of the event schedule, Jacobs did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Jacobs ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
