Birt went on to lose 9-8 against Kelly Scott (Kelowna, BC). Birt lost 9-6 to Mary-Anne Arsenault (Halifax, NS) where Birt responded with a 8-4 win over Kristie Moore (Grande Prairie, AB). Birt went on to lose 10-2 against Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
