8-3 to Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN), then responded with a 8-5 win over Peter De Boer (Naseby, NZ). Morozumi won 7-6 against Hugh Millikin (Melbourne, AUS), then won 9-4 against Viktor Kim (Almaty, KAZ). Morozumi went on to lose 7-4 against Chang-Min Kim (Gyeongbuk Uiseong, KOR). Morozumi responded with a 7-5 win over Randie Shen (Taipei, TPE) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships, Morozumi take home 8.750 world rankings points, moving up 26 spots the World Ranking Standings into 76th place overall with 20.930 total points. Morozumi ranks 74th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.750 points earned so far this season.
