Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR) finished 6-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ulsrud defeated
Andrey Drozdov (Moscow, RUS) 6-4, then won 9-6 against Switzerland's Sven Michel and 6-4 against Denmark's Rasmus Stjerne. Ulsrud won 9-3 against Hungary's Gyeorgy Nagy. Ulsrud went on to lose 7-6 against Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO). Ulsrud responded with a 8-5 win over Czech Republic's Jiri Snitil. Ulsrud won 6-4 against Andreas Lang (Fuessen, GER). Ulsrud went on to lose 6-5 against Thomas Dufour (Chamonix, FRA). Ulsrud lost 7-6 to Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Le Gruyere European Curling Championships, Ulsrud take home 35.000 world rankings points. For week 18 of the event schedule, Ulsrud did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Ulsrud ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
