Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO) finished 7-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Muirhead lost 5-3 to Mirjam Ott (Bern, SUI), then responded with a 8-2 win over Italy's Diana Gaspari. Muirhead won 11-5 against Finland's Anne Malmi, then won 10-2 against Czech Republic's Linda Klimova. Muirhead went on to lose 9-2 against Sweden's Margaretha Sigfridsson. Muirhead responded with a 7-3 win over Germany's Andrea Schoepp. Muirhead won 9-2 against Denmark's Lene Nielsen, then won 8-5 against Hungary's Ildiko Szekeres and 6-5 against Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Le Gruyere European Curling Championships, Muirhead take home 35.000 world rankings points. For week 18 of the event schedule, Muirhead did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Muirhead ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
