Dropkin went on to lose 7-3 against Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, CAN). Dropkin responded with a 8-1 win over Dongxu Jiang (Harbin, CHN). Dropkin went on to lose 8-3 against Kyle Smith (Perth, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
